Addressing meeting of JI central leadership at Mansoora on Thursday, he said the UN and international community had become a silent spectator of worst human rights violation in Kashmir and badly failed to implement the Security Council Resolution granting people of Kashmir right to self determination.
Referring to the UN resolutions on Kashmir, Senator Siraj said the international body was completely losing its already exposed credibility due to its weak position on Kashmir. What was the use of the United Nations if it was incapable to implement its own decisions, he questioned.
The JI leader warned the world against fascist regime of Modi which could throw the entire region into war. The cost of that war could be millions of lives, he said, reminding the world its responsibility to force India to provide right of self determination to Kashmiris. He, however, reminded New Delhi that it could not keep Kashmiri as its slave through the use of brutal force. Three generations of the Kashmiris rendered countless sacrifices in their quest to get freedom from Indian yoke and they are still standing like a rock despite worst circumstances, he said.
The JI chief said the people of Kashmir spent a month in strict curfew and communication blockade. A severe food and medicine shortage crisis was impending over the entire region due to this blockade which could cost thousands of lives if a quick support was not provided to the people of IoK, he said. Siraj added the Pakistani government and worldwide organizations should take practical steps to provide relief to the besieged people.
He reiterated his call for abolition of Simla Agreement with India and removal of fence at LoC. He said the UN should deploy peace army in Occupied Kashmir. Siraj announced that JI will organize "Save Kashmir Rally" in Quetta on September 15. JI Secretary General Ameerul Azim and other leaders attended the meeting.
The meeting also expressed grief over the sudden demise of Abdullah Morsi, young son of Egypt late president and Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammad Morsi.
